Police investigate NE fight, stabbing
Victim uncooperative with officers
Police are investigating a large fight and stabbing in Northeast Portland on Tuesday.
According to police, at 5:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, North Precinct officers responded to North Jessup Street, between Kerby and Commercial Avenues, on the report of a large group of people fighting and one person stabbed.
Officers arrived in the area and found a group of people, but did not see anyone fighting. Officers also located an adult male suffering from a stab wound to an arm. He was initially uncooperative with police, and medical personnel transported him to an area hospital for treatment to a non-life-threatening injury.
Investigators from the Gang Enforcement Team are investigating the investigation the stabbing as possibly gang-related. No suspect information was immediately available.
