Water pipe break slows traffic on W. Burnside Street

A ruptured water pipe near the Pittock Mansion could slow traffic on West Burnside Street through most of Tuesday.
Portland Water Bureau crews have been working since Monday afternoon to repair the broken 8-inch cast-iron pipe near West Burnside Street and Southwest Barnes Road. The work has closed one of Burnside’s eastbound lanes close to the Pittock Mansion turnoff.
Traffic delays going both east and west could continue most of Tuesday, city officials said.
