Police hunt hit and run driver
Woman hospitalized from Northeast Portland accident
Police are asking the public to help identify the driver of a vehicle involved in a Northeast Portland hit and run accident Monday night.
Charlotte Claudel, 20, remains hospitalized with injuries sustained in the accident.
The suspect is described as an African-American male with shaved or short hair and a close-cropped full beard. The passenger is described as a white female with blonde hair to the shoulders. The suspect vehicle was recovered in the neighborhood.
According to police, officers responded to the report of a hit and run to a pedestrian at Northeast 60th Avenue and Glisan Street rat 7:18 p.m. on Oct. 15. When they arrived, the officers located an adult female suffering from traumatic but non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses described the suspect vehicle to police and officers have located it parked in the neighborhood. This investigation is continuing.
