Sherwood teacher placed on leave after allegations of misconduct with student

Washington County sheriff’s detectives are investigating a Sherwood High School teacher regarding allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct with a student.

Detectives received information from the Oregon Department of Human Services about possible misconduct between Denise Keesee, 38, and a male student, according to Sgt. Bob Ray, a sheriff’s department spokesman.

On Monday, the Sherwood School District placed Keesee, a math teacher and soccer coach, on administrative leave until the investigation is completed.

Investigators are concerned there could be additional victims and are asking parents to talk to their children about anything that was out of the ordinary, suspicious or inappropriate involving Keesee and report it to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone who may have information involving this case is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Department at 503-846-2500.
