Homeless man stabbed in NW Portland
Police say victim well known in area
A homeless man is hospitalized in critical condition after being stabbed early Saturday morning in Northwest Portland.
Police did not release the man's name but said he is well known in the area.
A suspect has not been identified or arrested. Police say he might be a Native American male.
According to police, at 3:16 a.m. on Dec. 8, Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing at Northwest 20th Avenue and Northwest Glisan Street.
When they arrived, the officers located a 54-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds. Medical personnel transported the man to a Portland hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The officers conducted a neighborhood canvass but did not locate anyone matching this limited suspect description.
