Wedding gifts stolen from home
Victimized couple to be married in two weeks
A burglar stole wedding gifts from a couple about to be married on Monday.
The gifts include cash, gift cards and the bride-to-be's wedding band.
According to police, at 11:08 p.m. on Dec. 17, officers responded to the report of a burglary at a residence in the 10900 block of Southeast Market Street.
After officers arrived, they spoke to the groom-to-be, who said that someone broke into his home that day and stole the gifts.
The couple is scheduled to be married in two weeks.
The officers checked the perimeter of the home and discovered that the burglar removed a pane of glass from a door at the rear of the home that leads into an attached garage. The officers also discovered a backyard gate was open that the homeowner explained is always closed.
The victim told police that the burglary occurred sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. when he returned home from work.
