Police release statement from Larson family

Police are continuing to investigate the murder of Jaime Lyn Larson, 33. Her body was discovred in an aprtment near Portland State University on Christmas Day.

No one has been arrested or named as a person of interest in the crime. In the meantime, the police have releasd the following statement from Larson's family:

The family of Jaime Lyn Larson wishes to thank everyone in the community for their ongoing support during this devastating time. Everyone's support is heartfelt and greatly appreciated.

During this difficult time, Jaime's family is asking the community and media to please respect their privacy as they are trying to cope with the tragic loss of Jaime.

This was a horrific crime that you never expect to happen to a family member, and losing a loved child on Christmas Day makes the loss especially painful.

We also want to thank the Portland Police Bureau for their continued support and hard work in finding the person or persons who took Jaime Lyn from our lives and have faith they will find who did this and bring them to justice for this terrible crime.

We would ask that anyone with information about Jaime Lyn's death or anyone recently in touch with her to contact the detectives on the case.

Homicide detectives are asking for anyone in the community who has information about her death, has seen Jaime Lyn Larson in days preceding her death, or has any information about suspicious activity in the neighborhood to contact homicide detectives.
