Time is running out to exchange old TriMet tickets
TriMet riders with those old, non-foil tickets have just a few more hours to exchange them for new tickets before their value goes poof.
The deadline to exchange the old one- and two-zone tickets, and the old non-foil ones, is at the end of business Monday, Dec. 31. After that, those old tickets are good only for confetti.
The tickets can be exchanged from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the TriMet ticket office in Pioneer Courthouse Square, 701 S.W. Sixth Ave.
TriMet changed its fare system in September to eliminate zones and require all riders to pay $2.50 or buy a $5 day pass. That means those old one- and two-zone tickets will no longer be valid after Monday.
TriMet is exchanging the one- and two-zone tickets for go-anywhere (formerly All-Zone) tickets for 40 cents each, either on a bus or at the TriMet ticket office at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
