Missing Southeast Portland woman safe

by: PORTLAND POLICE BUREAU - Beth Adwell has been missing since Monday.Police says a Southeast Portland woman missing since Monday is now safe. She was found by a jogger in MAt. Tabor Park Tuesday morning.

Beth Adwell, 49, has short-term memory problems. According to police, Adwell was last seen at about 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2012, when she left from her residence in the 2300 block of Southeast Division Street to go to a nearby convenience store. She did not return. Family members called police at about 8:30 p.m., after they were unable to locate her.

The Portland Police Bureau activated the A Child Is Missing (ACIM) emergency reverse phone notification system, which broadcasts a pre-recorded message about a missing person, to listed numbers within the geographic area where a missing person was last seen. It did not generate information about Adwell's whereabouts, however.
