Body found floating in Johnson Creek

Portland police are investigating the death of a man in his 30s whose body was found Saturday afternoon floating in Johnson Creek just west of Southeast 92nd Avenue.

The man’s name was not released.

Officers from the East Precinct discovered the body at about 12:53 p.m. Saturday.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Dive Team helped Portland homicide detectives in processing the scene where the body was found. Divers retrieved the body and sent it to the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office, who will do an autopsy on Sunday to determine the cause of death.
