Police arrest shooting suspect

Police have arrested a suspect in an early Saturday morning shooting outside Jody's Bar and Grill, located at 12035 Northeast Glisan St.

Although no one was injured in the shooting, a bullet apparently struck the outside of a nearby Taco Bell.

Kace Adigun Talton, 30, was charged with Attempted Murder, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and two counts of Reckless Endangerment. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail.

According to police, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 5, East Precinct officers responded to Jody's Bar and Grill on the report of a shooting in the parking lot. As officers were enroute, additional information was broadcast that the suspect and two females fled the area in a silver Ford Crown Victoria.

When they officers arrived, they discovered a shell casing in the parking lot and a bullet strike to the Taco Bell building located just to the west of Jody's.

Jody's security told police that the shooting started as a fight inside the bar, which moved into the outside parking lot, where the shot was fired. No one was hit and the intended victim sped off in a vehicle.

Officers from the Gresham Police Department located and stopped the suspect vehicle at Northeast 8th Street and Cleveland Avenue in Gresham. The male driver and two females were detained.

Witnesses identified the vehicle and the people as being involved in the fight and shooting. Officers recovered a handgun inside the vehicle that investigators believe was used in the shooting.

Based on information developed at the scene, Gang Enforcement Team detectives responded to further the investigation.
