A woman died Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle in the 7900 block of Northeast Glisan Street.

The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team is investigating the accident.

Police said the victim was 29-year-old Heather Jean Fitzsimmons of Southeast Portland.

The driver, 24-year-old Samantha Mansholt of Tualatin, has cooperated with investigators.

No arrests or citations have been issued.

Police said the accident happened at about 5:59 p.m. The driver of the vehicle has remained at the scene.

Northeast Glisan Street was closed from 74th to 80th avenues during the initial investigation.
