Former Beaverton teacher sought on child porn charge caught in Mexico

A former Beaverton middle school teacher on the run since being convicted of child pornography last month has been captured in Mexico.

A senior law enforcement source confirmed for KOIN Local 6 36-year-old Logan Storm was arrested in Mexico Monday night. Logan Storm will be extradited to Oregon to face charges.

Storm is expected to be sentenced in U.S. District Court once he is returned to Oregon.

On Jan. 29, Storm was convicted on one federal count of possession of child pornography. The following day, he removed his court-ordered monitoring bracelet and failed to appear for a detention hearing.

Storm had been staying with his parents in Southeast Portland.

A hunt for Storm turned up the monitoring bracelet in Lewis and Clark State Park near Troutdale. His VW Jetta was found in Los Angeles.
