Portland, with its plethora of bakeries and love of all things comforting and homemade, will get in on the action with a host of sweet deals and events.

Here are just a few:

• Lauretta Jean's, 3402 S.E. Division St., will host an evening of live music and dancing, with pie and liquor pairings, starting at 7 p.m.

• Pacific Pie Company, 1520 S.E. Seventh Ave., will offer pie slices for $3.14 and whole sweet pies for $23.14.

• The Honey Pot food cart, 4209 S.E. Belmont St., will celebrate their first anniversary with two specials: a free "pie bite" with every purchase over $5; and a deal on pot pies: buy two and get the third free. The specials run through March 17.

•The Original, 300 S.W. Sixth Ave., will host its Annual Pi(e) Trivia Contest. Between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., The Original will tweet out Pi(e)-related questions every 30 minutes. The first to Tweet back with the correct answer will get a free slice of pie on their next visit. The hastag: #OGTrivia.
