Candidates for Portland School Board will appear at a public forum for the first time this Wednesday, April 3.

Sponsored by the Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods, City Club of Portland and Concordia University, the forum is free and open to the public.

It's set for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Concordia University, 2811 N.E. Holman St., Hagan Campus Center, second floor. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The moderator will be Mark Langseth, president and chief executive officer of "I Have a Dream" Oregon. The master of ceremonies will be Sam Adams, executive director of the City Club of Portland.

Light refreshments will be served, and Spanish translation will be available.

The five candidates running for the three seats in the May 21 election have been invited: Martin Gonzalez, Steve Buel, Tom Koehler and Pam Knowles.
