Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters will join a jam-packed bill to close the four-day event July 7. Also scheduled to appear on closing night are Mavis Staples, Taj Mahal and Robert Randolph & the Family Band.

The blues festival — the annual major fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank — is from July 4 to 7 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. It features 150 artists performing on four stages.

“We’re especially proud today to announce the festival’s stellar featured artists for 2013,” said Laura Golino de Lovato, the food bank’s director of development. “This year’s tour de force comes July 7, which we’ve dubbed Sensational Sunday. It’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done with this event.”

Because of space limitations in the festival area, organizers said a festival pass would be required for “Sensational Sunday.”
