Three arrested in suspected gang shooting
Police have arrested three people in connection with a Saturday evening shooting that left two others wounded.
Bryan Curtis Whitecloud, 38, and Jillian Ann Kay, 26, were arrested as suspects in the shooting.
A 17-year-old female associate of the victims was also arrested after officers discovered her concealing a handgun in a jacket.
Whitecloud was charged with attempted aggravated murder, attempted murder (two counts), assault in the second degree (two counts), and unlawful use of a weapon.
Kay was charged with attempted aggravated aurder, attempted murder (two counts), and assault in the second degree (two counts).
Whitecloud and Kay were booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
The victims were Januel Zermeno, 17, who was shot in the right leg and Mykehail Mars, 18, who was shot in the left hand.
According to police, at 9:20 p.m. on May 11, East Precinct officers responded to the area of Southeast 82nd Avenue and Powell Boulevard on the report of multiple shots and a crowd scattering.
Officers arrived in the area and located two gunshot victims.
Officers obtained suspect descriptions from witnesses and located two people matching those descriptions in the neighborhood. Both were detained.
The Gang Enforcement Team responded to conduct the investigation. Officers located the suspects at Southeast 84th Avenue and Brooklyn Street and recovered a handgun nearby.
