Gunshots heard in Entertainment District


Portland police are reporting multiple gunshots heard in the Entertainment District in Old Town early Sunday mornng.

Central Precinct officers patrolling the district heard the shots coming from the area of Northwest 4th Avenue and Everett Street at approximately 2:15 a.m. on May 19.

When the officers arrived in the area, they did not find any victims or suspects at the scene. The officers did locate evidence of gunfire, either.

Based on preliminary information, the officers called for the Gang Enforcement Team to respond. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to contact the Gang Enforcement Team at (503) 823-4106.

The city barricades several streets in Old Town to eliminate and parking and create the Entertainment District on weekend nights.
