Deputies pull man's body from Willamette River

Multnomah County sheriff’s deputies pulled a man’s body from the Willamette River Wednesday afternoon south of the St. Johns Bridge.

The man’s identity has not been released.

Engineers with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers flagged down the sheriff’s River Patrol at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, and alerted deputies to the body floating near the river’s west bank.

The body was turned over to the Multnomah County medical examiner’s office.
