A suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot Thursday morning during a standoff after Portland police served a search warrant at a house in the 6400 block of Southeast 99th Avenue.
The mans name has not been released.
The incident began at about 6 a.m. Thursday, July 25, when Portlands Special Emergency Reaction Team served a search warrant at the residence as part of a Multnomah County Sheriff's Office investigation.
The man, who was a suspect in the investigation, refused to leave the house. SERT officers fired tear gas into the house and then went into the residence through the garage, where they found the man dead.
No other information was released about the incident.
