Arrest made in gang-related shooting

Three other Sunday incidents still unsolved

Police have arrested a suspect in one of four Sunday afternoon shooting incidents.

Bennie Gene London III, 15, was arrested Monday afternoon. He is charged with three counts of Attempted Aggravated Murder with a Firearm in connection with the shooting in the 600 block of Southeast 162nd Avenue.

London is believed to be a gang associate. He was transported to the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home.

Investigators from the Gang Enforcement Team served multiple search warrants in connection with the arrest and recovered a .22 caliber rifle they believe was used in the shooting.

Two other people associated with London were also arrested on unrelated charges. Aundrell Young, 21, and Issac Burks, 21, are both documented gang members.

At this point, gang investigators do not believe that this shooting was connected to the other shootings on Sunday afternoon.
