Shooting leads to arrest

Victim taken to hospital with leg wounds

An argument led to a shooting in a Southeast Portland house on Sunday.

Zachary Lloyd, 25, was arrested and charged Assault in the Second Degree. He is lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center on 250,000 bail.

The victim, Brad Yeager, 26, was shot several times in the leg. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, at 4:44 a.m. on Jan. 22, East Precinct officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3600 block of Southeast 85th Avenue in response to a shooting report. When they arrived, the officers found several people at the house, including the victim.

The officers learned that the people at the residence knew one another, and that an argument erupted leading to the shooting. They recovered the handgun used in the shooting and called Assault Detectives and the Forensic Evidence Division to assist in the investigation.
