Pedestrian killed in SE Portland hit and run

Portland police are investigating a fatal Saturday hit and run.
According to police, at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 28, East Precinct officers responded to the report of a pedestrian struck in the 7000 block of Southeast Foster Road. As officers were enroute, additional information was broadcast that the vehicle that struck the man had continued east on Foster Road.
The officers and medical personnel arrived and found the adult male victim in the street. An ambulance transported him to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
The victim's name was not immediately available.
The only suspect vehicle information is that the vehicle may have been a dark-colored pick-up or SUV and will possibly have front end or hood damage.
The Portland Police Bureau Traffic Division Major Crash Team is conducting the investigation.
