Firefighters cut two people from smashed vehicle
Portland firefighters had to cut a smashed vehicle early Wednesday morning to free two people after a single-vehicle crash near Southwest Macadam Avenue and Curry Street.
Portland Fire and Rescue crews removed the top of the vehicle to get to the injured people inside. Both people were taken to local hospitals for treatment of serious injuries. Their names and medical conditions were not released.
Firefighters said the accident happened at about 2:13 a.m. Nov. 6 when the vehicle the two people were riding in went off the road, collided with several objects and came to a rest, pinning the two people inside. It took about 15 minutes to pull the people from the wreckage, firefighters said.
