Two homeless men were wounded Wednesday in an early morning shooting in Southeast Portland.
Police said the men were sleeping outside at about 5:12 a.m. in the 100 block of Southeast Belmont Street when a black four-door pickup drove past and someone inside fired several shots at them.
One man was struck in the chest and was seriously injured. A bullet grazed the other man's side.
Medical crews took the wounded man to an area hospital with what they said were life-threatening injuries. His name and medical condition have not been released.
