MAX service restored after lengthy fix
Eastside MAX service was restored around 10 p.m. Monday after TriMet workers were able to get a train that had partly come of the tracks back on the rails.
The disruption began at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 18. A westbound Red Line train was leaving the 82nd Avenue. Station when the second wheel set of the train lifted off the track.
TriMet crews determined the train and track were not damaged. A faulty track brake bracket has been identified as the cause if this disruption.
TriMet officials apologized to riders for the lengthy disruption.
