Police investigating 20th gang-related shooting of 2012
No one reported injured in Tuesday incident
Police are investigating the 20th gang-related shooting of the year - eight more than at this time last last year.
No one was reported injured in the most recent incident, which took place at approximately 1:54 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the area of Northeast Mallory and Shaver. According to police, when North Precinct officers responded there on a report of multiple gunshots,
they found several shell casings in the street. One house in the neighborhood was struck by gunfire.
The officers did not locate any victims or intended victims of the shooting. A witness described two black males shooting at each other then fleeing the area.
The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating the incident.
