Portland Mayor Charlie Hales will proclaim Wednesday as Bob Miller Day, in honor of the KPAM hosts official retirement after 34 years in the radio business.
In his official proclamation, Hales cites Miller as the reigning dean of Portland radio. The proclamation honors Miller for his Operation Santa Claus, which raised more than $1.1 million for the families of U.S. troops; for supporting charities providing eye care to thousands of young children, and for educating Portlanders on the importance of motor scooter safety.
