A man who was a wanted fugitive from Montana, and pointed a firearm at Oregon State Police troopers earlier this month, was released from a local hospital and promptly placed under arrest.
Dale Wallace, 30 from Butte, Mont., was involved in a standoff with Oregon State Police in Lincoln City on Jan. 3. After fleeing a vehicle on foot, Wallace allegedly pointed a firearm at officers, whereupon he was struck by an OSP marked patrol car.
Wallace was being treated Oregon Health and Science University for injuries sustained in the incident. After being released on Tuesday, he was arrested by OSP and lodged at the Multnomah County Justice Center as a Fugitive from Justice based upon an outstanding warrant out of Montana related to a robbery investigation.
