(Oregon Public Broadcasting) — About 3,200 Multnomah County voters will receive voter notification cards with some incorrect information. Residents who registered or updated their voter information in the past month are primarily affected.

The voter's own address in the Oregon Centralized Voter Registration System is unaffected and remains correct. The data processing error occurred on the mail vendor's end.

Tim Scott is with Multnomah County. He says the county elections division is working with the mail vendor to produce corrected notification cards.

"The cards contained the voter's correct address, but then in a separate section of the card there was just an address that was not part of their record," Scott said. "And, there's no action the voter needs to take."

A voter notification card includes a residential address for voters to verify. That's the information that may be incorrect.

Letters have gone out to affected voters to explain the error. The new corrected notification cards should be delivered this week.
