Police have a arrested a man for inappropriately touching underage girls on a TriMet bus and in a bus shelter.
Jason Raynard Tomlin, 46, is charged with two counts of Sex Abuse in the First Degree. He was arrested by North Precinct officers on Tuesday, March 18.
According to police, the investigation began on January 23 when a 14-year-old girl reported that a man sat next to her on a TriMet bus and made sexually explicit comments and inappropriately touched her, while the bus was in the area of North Woolsey Avenue and Trenton Street.
A second report was made on Feb. 6 when a 13-year-old female reported that a man approached her using sexually explicit language and inappropriately touched her in a TriMet bus shelter, located at North Dekum Street and Durham Avenue. The victim was waiting for the bus to go to school.
Surveillance video obtained after the Feb. 6 report was released to the public, which assisted in the identification of Tomlin as the suspect.
