Police investigating two shooting incidents


Police are investigating two shooting incidents with no reported victims.

According to police, at 7:28 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, North Precinct officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area of Northeast 19th Avenue and Killingsworth Street.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted a witness who indicated that there was a large fight among some teenagers, next to Alberta Park, and one of the people in the group pointed a handgun into the air and fired some shots. After the shots, the crowd dispersed into the neighborhood.

Officers located evidence of gunfire on Northeast Jarret Street, between 18th and 19th avenues. Officers also contacted a group of teenagers but they denied being involved in a fight.

Then, at 12:24 a.m. on Monday, April 7, East Precinct officers responded to the report of gunshots heard in the area of Southeast 129th Avenue and Powell Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted witnesses who described hearing two vehicles driving in the area, with occupants possibly shooting at each other. Officers located evidence of gunfire in the 3600 block of Southeast 130th Avenue and additional evidence at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Powell Boulevard.

Limited vehicle descriptions are that of a smaller car and an SUV. No victims were located or contacted police.
