Milwaukian arrested on shooting charge in motel
Clackamas County Sheriffs Office detectives Monday released the names of two Milwaukians who were involved in a reported shooting Thursday, April 17, at Kings Row Motel, 12700 McLoughlin Blvd.
Aletha Carlese Williams, 47 was charged with first-degree assault as a result of the shooting, and CCSO is still investigating whether her husband, William Edward Williams, 46, may have caused her black eye.
CCSO spokesman Sgt. Nathan Thompson said the black eye wasnt a result of her being arrested. Deputies had responded to the scene just before midnight, Thompson noted, and police were able to make immediate phone contact with Williams, who cooperated with their commands, and she came out of the room without incident. The manager of the motel had called 911 to report that her husband had come to the front desk saying he had been shot by his wife while staying at the motel.
It was an injury that occurred prior to her being taken into police custody, Thompson said.
William Williams has non-life-threatening injuries, and is still being treated at a local hospital.
