Portland police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a February gang-related downtown shooting that wounded one person.

Thursday night, the Gang Enforcement Team arrested Jeray Lashawn Jessi and charged him with attempted murder, first-degree assault and unlawful use of a firearm. He is being held in the Multnomah County Detention Center on $500,000 bail.

Police say Jessi is a gang member. He is charged with shooting 20-year-old Cortez Wade at about 11:44 p.m. Feb. 23, at Southwest Second Avenue and Ankeny Street after a fight in front of the Thirsty Lion Pub and Grill.
