Man shot in nightclub


Police are investigating an early Sunday shooting on an Old Town/Chinatown nightclub that left one man wounded.

The name and condition of the victim was not immediately released.

No suspect information was immediately released, either.

According to police, at 1:42 a.m. on June 8, Central Precinct officers received a call of a possible shooting or stabbing at the East China Lounge, 322 N.W. Everett St. Officers arrived and learned that a 29-year-old male had been shot in the abdomen.

Although the initial scene was very chaotic, officers were able to secure the area and the victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

Detectives and gang investigators responded to the scene.
