Man stabbed in Old Town
Police are looking for the suspect in a Tuesday evening stabbing in Old Town.
The victim's name was not immediately released. He is hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, skinny build, wearing a straight-brim baseball cap, a dark-colored hoody and pants.
According to police, at 7:27 p.m. on June 17, Central Precinct officers responded to Northwest 4th Avenue and Burnside Street on the report of a stabbing.
Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, a 33-year-old male, suffering from two stab wounds. He said he was walking on the sidewalk between Northwest 3rd and 4th Avenues on the North side of Burnside Street when he saw a younger girl in an alcove among a group of transients. When he asked her why she was outside, the victim says a group of male transients in the next alcove stood up and confronted him, and one of the group stabbed him.
Several officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect.
