Northeast Portland bank robbed
Police and the FBI are investigating a Thursday morning bank robbery in Northeast Portland.
According to police, at 9:27 a.m. on June 26, North Precinct officers responded to the Columbia State Bank, located at 5083 Northeast 122nd Avenue, on the report of a bank robbery.
When officers arrived in the area, they contacted bank employees who said that the suspect entered the bank, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s, 6'2" tall, medium build, wearing a gray and black coat, black stocking cap, black bandana over his face, black pants, armed with a handgun.
