Police have arrested a suspect in a Thursday sexual assault in Southeast Portland.
Michael Jermaine Miranda, 28, is charged with two counts of Sex Abuse in the Second Degree.
The victim was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, at 12:09 p.m. on June 26, East Precinct officers responded to Lents Park, located at 4727 Southeast 92nd Avenue, on the report that a woman had been sexually assaulted in the park.
When officers arrived, they contacted the adult female victim, who said that she met the suspect just prior to the assault and that he ran out of the park eastbound.
The victim provided a description and picture of the suspect to police that she took with her cell phone.
The suspect, later identified as Miranda, was located in the area and taken into custody.
