A Molalla man was arrested Saturday night for allegedly shooting another man in the leg with a shotgun.
At about 9:45 p.m. Saturday, June 28, Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies and Molalla Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of West Main Street in Molalla.
At the house, deputies found Daniel Nyberg, 44, of Molalla, with non-life threatening gunshot wounds to his leg. Nyberg was treated at the scene by Molalla Fire District paramedics and taken by ambulance to Willamette Falls Hospital.
According to deputies, Nyberg and other witnesses told them the shooting suspect could be found at a nearby house. Deputies also learned from witnesses where to find the shotgun believed to have been used in the shooting. Deputies found a stolen rifle at the same location.
The suspect was identified as 43-year-old Brian Alan Keslar, of Molalla. He was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County jail on charges of assault and unlawful use of a weapon. During the course of the investigation, deputies learned the shotgun had been removed from the crime scene by Tina Zimmerly, 43, of Molalla. She was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of first-degree theft and tampering with evidence.
