Argument on basketball court led to 36th gang shooting
A 20-year-old man injured in a Friday evening shooting was the 36th victim of gang violence this year.
Portland police said Marquis Glover of Northeast Portland was shot several times but is expected to survive the injuries.
Police said Glover was playing basketball at Rice Elementary School's outdoor courts when he got into a fight with the shooting suspect. The suspect fired several shots at Glover, walked to a red car and drove away.
The suspect was described as an African American man in his late teens or early 20s wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
