America's Forgotten Student PopulationPortland Community College is hosting a book signing which will feature contributors, editor and researcher of “America’s Forgotten Student Population – Creating a Path to College Success for GED Completers,” a book about those who have received their GED, or General Educational Development.

The event is free to the public and will last from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at PCC’s Southeast Center, 2305 S.E. 82nd Ave.

The book compiles original research on students who have received their GED and provides a look at their motivations and needs.
