Suspect threatened US Bank teller in Aloha, claiming he had explosive device
Washington County sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a man who robbed an Aloha bank.
On Thursday at about 12:43 p.m., deputies were called to a robbery report at the US Bank located at 18485 S.W. Farmington Road in Aloha. Multiple deputies responded to the area to search for the suspect.
Upon arrival, deputies learned a man went to a teller window and said he had an explosive device. After he demanded cash, he ran southbound from the bank. The teller was not injured, and no explosive device was located.
Deputies shared the robber's description with neighboring law enforcement agencies, and a K-9 team was called in to assist in the search. The K-9 officer and handler were unable to locate the suspect.
Washington County property crimes detectives were contacted and are continuing the investigation with the assistance of the Washington County Forensic Science Unit.
The suspect was described as a 30-year-old white man, who is 5-foot-6 with a medium build. He had brown hair and was clean shaven. He wore a blue shirt, black pants and a black hat.
