Portland police have arrested a man suspected of stealing more than $25,000 worth of gasoline inthe metropolitan area.
Christopher Scott Beard, 39, is charged with 12 counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and 12 counts of Theft in the First Degree.
Beard was identified by police after surveillance video from one of the thefts captured images of the suspect and the truck he was using to steal gasoline.
According to police, Beard would fill a 300 gallon tank in the back of the truck with gasoline, using a stolen credit card at various locations throughout Portland.
Police first located the truck then located Beard and arrested him Thursday, Aug. 8.
