Police are investigating two Monday morning robberies.

No one was injured and no arrests were immediately made in either robbery.

According to police, East Precinct officers responded to the first robbery at 9:36 a.m. on Aug. 11 at the Plaid Pantry located at 5146 S.E. Holgate Blvd. Officers arrived and established a perimeter to contain the suspect. A K-9 unit responded but was unsuccessful in locating the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black male in his early 20's, approximately 6' and weighing approximately 165 lbs.

North Precinct officers responded to the second robbery at 10:50 a.m. on Aug. 11 at the Plaid Pantry at 7144 N.E. Killingsworth St. Officers arrived determined that the suspect fled southbound on Northeast 72nd Avenue after demanding and receiving some money from the clerk.

Officers were able to secure the area and contact witness to the robbery. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'10" with a thin build.
