A man was shot during a fight in a North Portland park late Sunday.
The name of the victim was not immediately release. His wound is described as non-life threatening.
According to police, at 10:41 p.m. in Aug. 17, North Precinct officers responded to Northgate Park, located at 6000 North Fessenden Street, on the report of a disturbance and possibly someone stabbed in the park.
When the officers arrived, they learned that a male was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police say preliminary information indicates there was some kind of a fight inside the park involving several males, and that one male was shot during the disturbance.
Several officers, including a Police K-9 and Air Support Unit, searched the area for any potential suspects. No arrests were immediately announced, however.
