Police arrested a burglary suspect in Southwest Portland on Tuesday.
James Richard Stinson, 33, is charged with Burglary in the First Degree.
According to police, at 9:19 a.m. on Sept. 2, Central Precinct officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Southwest Montgomery Drive on the report of a burglary. When the officers arrived, they were directed to the laundry room of the condominium complex, where the suspect, later identified as Stinson, was taken into custody.
Officers learned that Stinson walked into a residence through the garage and stole a laptop and car keys, then was trying to open car doors using the keys. Both items were recovered from the suspect.
