This past weekend's final Sunday Parkways event of the year across Tilikum Crossing and into Southeast Portland clocked 28,000 participants.
That puts the Portland Bureau of Transportation series over the top at 119,000 participants this year, breaking annual attendance records during its eight-year run.
The previous record was 108,900 people who flocked to the five events last year held once a month, May through September.
They showed up to walk, bike, jog, scoot and roll along family-friendly routes without vehicle traffic.
Portland's first Sunday Parkways was held in June 2008 with 15,000 participants.
