Sandy man charged with firing gun outside his home
A Sandy man was arrested Sunday evening for firing a gun outside his home.
Robert William Clevenger II, 36, was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on charges of reckless endangering, unlawful use of a weapon, and disorderly conduct in the second degree.
No one was hurt in the incident, which began at 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 9 when Sandy Police Department officers responded to a report of gunfire outside a home in the 18900 block of Wallingford Avenue. A neighbor called to report hearing a gunshot, then looking outside to see a man holding a gun standing in a driveway.
Officers responded to the area and determined the man had gone inside his home. At 9:30 .m., Clevenger surrendered to officers outside his home. He was armed with a loaded handgun when he surrendered. A woman also in the home was briefly detained until the scene was safe.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office assisted in the safe resolution of this incident.
