COURTESY: TRADER JOE'S - Trader Joe's removed the product from their store shelves as a precaution. Trader Joes's on Tuesday morning issued a recall on raw cashews, due to word from their supplier about possible salmonella contamination in one specific lot.

As a precaution, the store has removed all lots of Trader Joe’s Raw Cashew Pieces (barcode number 00505154), containing the code “BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4,” while they investigate the matter.

Oregon is one of the 31 states where the product was distributed.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Any customers who have purchased Trader Joe’s Raw Cashew Pieces with the specified lot code are urged to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

Questions can be directed to Trader Joe’s Customer Relations at (626) 599-3817, Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Pacific Time, or by email through this link: http://www.traderjoes.com/contact-us/product-feedback.

Trader Joe's apologizes for the inconvenience.
