Police: Dozens of shots fired, no one injured


Police say no one was apparently injured in a Saturday evening shooting incident where nearly three dozen shots were fire in East Portland.

According to police, at 9:51 p.m. on Feb. 13, East Precinct officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire at 92nd Avenue and East Burnside Street.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of the gunfire in the street. At least two neighboring apartments were hit by bullets, but there are no reported injuries.

Witnesses told police that they heard gunfire and vehicles speeding out of the area.

Burnside Street was closed from 91st to 93rd avenues as officers investigate the shooting.

Based on initial information, the Gang Enforcement Team (GET) responded to assist with the investigation.
